Mrs. Lillie Mae Hamblen,83, of 103 Third St., Williamsport, died Thursday Oct. 14, 1971, at Community Hospital. She had been a patient there since Oct. 3. Born in Floyd County, Sept.,25, 1888, she was the daughter of Charles and Mammie Benson. She was married in 1906 to Jerry Toop, who died in 1940. She was married in 1954 in Rockville to Jesse Hamblen who survives. She resided near Rainsville for several years and in Williamsport since 1954. She attended the Williamsport United Methodist Church. Survivors also include five step daughters; Mrs. Opal Watkins and Mrs. Josephine Pickrell, both of Williamsport, Miss Viola Hamblen of Attica, Mrs. Louise Cuntz of Bartonville and Mrs. Mabel Holloway of Harvey, Ill.; a step-son, Joe Hamblen of Attica Route 4; two grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and 10 step grandchildren. Two sons preceded her in death. Funeral services were held on Saturday at the Fisher Funeral home, with the Rev. Richard Lochner officiating. Burial in Mound cemetery. -- typed by BR
